Hear Ye, Hear Ye!

I'm afraid that school today was postponed due to a zombie invasion cleverly disguised as a head cold. I think, with the help of some hot tea and a liberal application of kleenex, we might be able to not only tame these creatures, but also help them get caught up on their schoolwork after lunch.

I hate seeing the children all feeling so miserable, but I do LOVE the flexibility that homeschooling has given us. I'm thinking today might just be the perfect day for some extra family reading.

My Hopes For This Blog

I'm starting this blog as a "brain dump" for all things homeschooling (at least, that is my plan so far!).

For those who might not know, my children range in age from 19 years down to one month. I have an adult, a high school student, a junior high student, an elementary student, a preschooler and a little guy. While two to three children can sometimes work together on a particular subject, this is my first year of teaching all grades mostly separately (while bouncing, cuddling and breastfeeding a baby, no less!). This is where I hope to keep my thoughts organized. Make that "somewhat organized" or maybe I should just hope for not TOO chaotic? We'll see!
